According to Wikipedia, Instant Racing – also known as historical race wagering – is an electronic gambling system. It allows players to bet on replays of horse races or dog races from the past. That is why New Hampshire now has some changes in its historical horse racing system.

Another thing is pari-mutuel wagering: it is something that you might not know a lot about. It seems like a strange phrase – that might be because it is French. But there is nothing too complicated about it. As Wikipedia says, it is a betting system in which all bets of a particular type are placed together in a pool. Taxes and the “house-take” are deducted, and payoff odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all winning bets. They also add: they use this system in gambling on horse racing, greyhound racing, jai alai, and all sporting events of relatively short duration in which participants finish in a ranked order. A modified parimutuel system is also used in some lottery games.
